Networking & Local Marketing, For example, I am an Insurance Agent who sells Personal Lines Insurance for individuals looking to purchase coverage for a car or house.
So my primary focus when marketing locally is to take marketing materiel to local Car dealerships, Home Mortgage Companies, and Real Estate Agents. Don't forget to swap business cards with the people you meet this is a fast track to networking.
Giving Back to the Community: When you're a local business the local community is usually your target audience. So why not sponsor a Benefit to help with medical expenses. Your audience wants to know that you care. You can also use your leverage as a business owner to have more people participate in the benefit to which you are sponsoring.
